March 07 TIcketI am reaching out to all y'all that may read my blog for a little story and perhaps some advice.
Monday, March 3rd 2008 I pulled into the parking lot of the T-Mobile "tower" on the P4 level and pulled into a spot. This spot was different than my usual spot, but as I was running a little later, and a few people had decided not to know how to park, thus hogging more than their alloted spot, I chose to park in a new area. This area, close to the elevator and next to a couple handicap spots, was a good choice, though I noted the lack of a T-Mobile pink square. What is this T-mobile square? (one might ask), well, every other spot around it had a pink square, but this spot had nothing. As I was in a hurry, I thought, "as long as it doesn't say reserved for...., I'm fine".
It was a Monday kind of day at work, and as Lindsey and I walked out of work that afternoon, we paused to say good bye by my car. There was the stupid little bugger of a ticket with the note "Not parked in T-Mobile reserved Spot" scribbled on it. I guess I should explan to you all now that this one building, of the 5 or 6 T-Mobile buildings happens to also house Sandusky Radio on the 5th floor. Sandusky has all of P1, but apparently they get that one spot by the elevators on p4.
The next day I took Lindsey with me to the Propery Management people (in the next Building). Upon walking into the office I explained my situation and asked to see the pciture of the spaces in that parking lot to explain my story. They opened the book to P4 in the tower and showed me my spot....Low and behold, in their book it was marked as a T-Mobile spot. SO I explained that I should not need to pay the ticket if they had my spot marked as t-mobile. "oh, but was there a pink square on the ground on the spot?" asked the dim girl. "I don't know" I responed somewhat untruthfully. "Well I will need to go check that".....I tried to explain that it did not matter if there was a pink square or not because the official book had just shown me that I was right to park there. "I'm really busy right now, I'll give you a call later when I have had a chance to look into this" the Stupid girl responded, more angrily at this point.
I explained the situation to a few co-workers, all of whom thought I should pay the 25 dollars.
The next day I got a call from the girl and she explained that she had stopped by my spot and found that there was no pink sqaure....I tried to be nice and explained that I understood not to park there again, and that they should makr it as reserved if t-mobile folks are not to park there, and she explained the same thing over again a few times...I said "In understand and will not park there again, but I am not going to pay the ticket" ...SHe hung up.
SO my question is, what will they do to me if I do not pay the ticket?
Ticket States:
Notice Amount $50.00
If paid within 7 days $25.00
The above amount is a debt owing to Imperial Parking (U.S.), Inc. and is claimed as an alternative to having your vehicle towed and/or booted and held for any applicable towing and storage charges. If this amount remains unpaid for more than 30 days, it will be forwarded to a debt collection agency for collection. We may also tow your vehicle from property managed by us and/or take legal action. Should this charge proceed to a debt collection agency, costs and interest will be added where permissible by state law....
DO I need to pay it? Will they really take me to collections?
Justin Says don't pay it, is he right?
March 05 Long Lost SpaceToday my coworker reminded me that I have this blog when she told me that she was looking at her long lost MSN Space.
I checked back to see if my SPace still exsisted, and here is it. Reading through my last few posts I thought "wow, I am quite whitty, I should certaintly write more post to entertain myself, and perhaps a few other people who choose to stop by and take a gander at my little space"
I feel that it is right to start with a little rant. After my coworker (Lindsey), reminded me of this space, I asked to take a look at hers. She gave me the link, but I was not able to see her site. There was a place to "request to view the page", so I did that, but still to no avail. Next I requested her MSN Space friendship, and she accepted, but I am still unable to view it. That seems dumb, and it makes me feel ok about ignoring this space for 8 months. Serves you right space!
Anyways, I am happy to have found my space intact, though my age is still unchanged and I will now need to manually change it at some point....grrrr
That is all for now, may it not be another 8 months before I write on you again. July 09 help with Windows Live MessengerDear MSN Live,
I do not know how to contact you, but there is an annoying thing that keep on happening to me. Everyday I sign on and in the Windows Live Messenger window there is a little place that tells me how many new messages I have in my hotmail inbox. Everyday I go in an erase all of them because they are always all spam (different story, not to be covered today), but then I close hotmail, having no unread massages, and the Windows Live messenger window still tells me I have 1 or 2....today it tells me I have 6.
Why does this happen?
-Margaret May 09 Italy?I was asked earlier today to update my blog about my trip to Italy.
Well I would love to write about Italy, but unfortunately, the only thing I can think about writing about at the moment is how tough it is to come back to work. After vacation back in school days there was always something to look forward to...be that a new year and new books and supplies or a new semmester of classes or even after spring break there was summer to look forward to after a few weeks. Now there is nothing new to look forward to at work....just the same old filing and data entering and such...and though it was fine before I left, it's much suckier now that I know the wonders of being able to do whatever I want for more than 2 days in a row..... February 15 CommentsI really do appreciate the support from folks on my last post.I am glad my firends agree with me on that point....but
....I also recieved another comment that was actually more useful than my friend's agreement, yet this comment was from someone I have never heard of named Greg http://gphipps.spaces.live.com/ . He pointed me towards this post http://jay.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!FCE3AA5E9CD7EF8E!4946.entry . Good information about how it is difficult to change the way that AGE is figured on Spaces and how it's low on the priority list of changes. I'm glad at least that they know of the problem....though I once complained to google about how g-chat didn't have a sound and very soon after, they added a beep so you could tell when you get a g-chat message.
But...how did Greg find me? Is he connected to me through any of my friends? I see he works for Spaces, so that makes me wonder, do people who work for Spaces just randomply look at profiles and comment on posts, or is there some automatic searcher that pinpoints posts that seem to be making a comment about the product? I mean, there must be a lot of people with Spaces, so I wonder how someone would get so quickly to seeing mine.
